Diva Day Recap!

Only 45 miles north of St. Peters, O’Fallon & St Charles Missouri, our beautiful town of 400 people nestled on the banks of the Mighty Mississippi River just hosted an amazing weekend party we called Diva Day. It all got started with a breakfast party at the historic Elgin / Cottrell house of 1845.

Richard Cottrell prepared the house for everyone. As you can see he used a lot of silver and crystal on the table. Garden flowers were everywhere. Some people dressed in period dresses, which added to the fun of the event. The party was simply divine!

After a mimosa, or two, the morning party spilled onto the streets for a day of shopping and browsing in beautiful stores like the Clarksville Glassworks. Richard rushed over to open his shop, Richard’s Great Stuff, and the early bird shoppers were lined up to be the first to receive a free gift Diva bag from the Clarksville shop owners and local artisans.

The morning rush eventually settled into lunch, art demonstrations, and finally a local house tour and studio party at Mary O’s newly renovated studio at the old Grace Episcopal Church.

Diva Days this Weekend

The local social atmosphere is heating up this weekend as Divas from all over gather in Clarksville this Saturday. The local shops are offering a Diva gift bag to their first 100 customers! Pick up your bag at the Clarksville Glassworks starting at 10 AM so be sure to get here early.

There are other parties happening around town as well. I’m hosting a morning party at the Elgin / Cottrell house from 8AM – 10AM for $10 / person. The Clarksville Artist Guild is hosting a party in the home of local artist Mary O. It’s an opportunity to get an inside look at the recent renovations Mary has made to her new home, the old Grace Episcopal Church.

The Clarksville Mayor, Mrs. Joanne Smiley, will also present her town cottage in an 3 house tour along with the Methodist Church and Mary O’s house.

A downtown full of sales, chocolate, champagne, wine and historical house tours! Sounds like a Diva Day to me!
